About Us My name is Ron Cook, owner of Close-Up Home Inspection. In 1993 I completed and extensive home inspection course with the International Correspondence School of Home Inspection. After completing school, I apprenticed with a home inspection company for two years. During that time I  joined the American Society of Home Inspector’s (ASHI).  ASHI membership is one of the most stringent in the industry. Full members must complete two written examinations, including the National Home Inspectors examination, and conduct a minimum of 250 fee paid peer reviewed inspections which have been verified to meet the ASHI standards of practice. ASHI members are also required to complete 20 hours of continuing education per year to maintain membership in the association. In 1995 I established my own company, Close-Up Professional Home Inspection. I have inspected more than 5000 houses in 15 years. The type of properties I inspect include single and multi family homes as well as condominiums & town houses in the Metro West area. I use a state of the art reporting system as well as the latest most sophisticated tools and equipment at my inspections. My reports are done on-site on a laptop, and printed out in color including digital photo’s taken throughout the inspection. My report also includes a comprehensive summary of problem areas at the end of each inspection report.
